| East Meets The West in New Spring Fashion |
Culture Clash by Double D RanchHow did one boy’s jacket from India inspire an entire line of spring fashion for women? Just ask Cheryl McMullen of Double D Ranch. She was so intrigued by the colorful, intricate “shisha” detail of the Indian jhuladi, that she went on to explore the sherry blossom motifs in Japanese kimonos, the embroidery styles of Chinese opera costumes and Romanian vests, and the embellishments and silhouettes of Balkin skirts. Somehow she managed to combine all of those inspirational details, mix in some Western inspired style, and develop the fabulous new "Culture Clash" line by Double D Ranch. The end result is a brilliantly colorful collection of jackets, tops, and skirts that will make us smile all the way through summer. Featured below are some of my favorite pieces, including the Calcutta Peasant top, the Shisha Mirror long sleeve jacket, and the Shisha Mirror short sleeve jacket. As you can see, I just love the Shisha Mirror pieces! I can't wait to add these vibrant colors to my spring wardrobe!
