The Fall 2010 Collection from Double D Ranch is here, and it is better than ever! Cheryl McMullen is a master when it comes color and pattern, and the new "Gypset" collection is no exception. Inspired by Julia Chaplin's book, Gypset Style, Cheryl developed a color palette that transports us around the world and conjures up images of travel and adventure. "Gypset" is a combination of the carefree gypsy lifestyle and chic, sophisticated fashion. According to Cheryl, the "colors are bright but slightly muddy so they transition easily into fall while staying festive. Fabrications are organic: leather, silk, wool and cotton, and everything is embroidered and embellished."

The results are gorgeous! I particularly love shades of brown and blue, and this collection provides me with several wonderful options (perhaps too many options - how do I decide?). Some of my favorite pieces include the Persian Paisley Dress in colorful silk, the Gandara Cross Tee in Kashmir, with a bright blue embrodery cross design, and the Gandhara Cross Jacket in Turkish Tobac leather with ruffle detail and a spectacular embroidered cross on the back. As you can see, I not only love shades of brown and blue, but I am intrigued by cross imagery as well! The Gandhara Cross Jacket is definitely on my wish list!
