I recently discovered the beautiful sterling silver jewelry designed by Richard Schmidt, and I wish I had known about it sooner! I just love his unique pieces, and I know you will too.

Richard likes to combine metals and finish them differently to create contrast. He also likes to combine different stones in his jewelry. Each piece is a little different because it is individually hand crafted. Richard is inspired by the hill country of Texas and the great Southwest, and the jewelry that he makes has a special meaning to him.

Wouldn't one of his special hand crafted pieces make a wonderful Valentine's Day gift? Here are a few of my favorite pieces, including hammered sterling silver and garnet heart earrings ($185), a silver and turquoise heart pendant ($225), and a hammered sterling silver cross pendant featuring a heart and crown design ($125). They are all gorgeous, and would definitely be well received as gifts for Valentine's Day (or any other occasion!).
