Meredith Lockhart is a gifted designer of Western inspired fashions, making all of her items under the Thistles West and Merenzia Custom labels. Most of her creations are one-of-a-kind and of the highest quality possible. Her beautiful designs have been worn to cattleman's balls and the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, and have also been seen on many major country music stars.

Meredith Lockhart's mother was a talented seamstress who made beautiful clothes for Meredith's dolls. Those lovely handmade clothes spurred Meredith's interest in sewing and design. In the seventh grade, Meredith made her first dress. When she wore it to school, her teachers complimented her on it, and she was hooked! She spent her early career working in interior design and art related work. Then in 1989, she created Thistles West to produce and market upscale Western and crossover fashions. Inspiration for her designs comes from her love of the Western culture. Meredith has had horses since she was a teenager. She married a farmer and lives in Kansas, where she is surrounded by horses, cattle, and the beautiful countryside.

Meredith has experienced huge success with her beautiful one-of-a-kind fashions. In 2009, she celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Thistles West and was the "Best Collection" Winner at the Cody High Style Fashion Show in Cody, Wyoming. Then in 2010 she was inducted into the Stetson Craftsman Alliance at the "Women Who Design the West" Exhibition, also in Cody, Wyoming. Meredith recently announced that Bobbi Jeen Olsen of Arizona Country TV will be the face of Thistles West for 2012, and Bobbi Jeen is shown here wearing a few of Meredith's wonderful designs. The Red Suede Outfit (left) includes a scalloped flaired bottom, suede hand painted yokes, sterling silver concho buttons and Swarovski crystals. The yoked red suede skirt has layers of uneven fringe, giving the skirt a wonderful sense of movement. The Teal Lambsuede Outfit (center) includes a cami top and gaucho pants with hand painted designs adorned with Swarovski crytals. The Burgandy and Black Outfit (right) includes a black lambskin top with hand painted designs, Swarovski crystals, and Swarovski buttons in the back. The skirt is burgandy lambsuede with a center front split, with designs in Swarovski crystals. Bobbi Jeen looks absolutely stunning in these custom made designer outfits!

Meredith is hosting a "One-of-a-Kind" Designer Trunk Show with custom bootmaker and leather artisan Ryder Gauteraux December 8 - 9 from 10 AM - 8 PM at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
