Deborah and Russell Shamah are extremely talented artisans who specialize in working with leather and wood. Both Russell and Deborah are experts at sculpting and hand carving leather. Deborah was also interested in trying leather embroidery, and began to create leather bracelets for herself and Russell. They received so many compliments on the bracelets, that they began to design some commissioned pieces of leather jewelry. Those pieces were also very well received, and the Shamah's expanded their line of hand sculpted leather and turned wood vessels to include fine leather jewelry.

This year the Shamahs have continued to develop and expand their line of fine leather jewelry. Their distinctive pieces include soft leather embroidered bracelets, hand carved leather bracelets and cuffs, and beautiful leather necklaces featuring sterling silver and semi-precious stone accents. The Rendezvous West website includes a large selection of fabulous jewelry, so I had a very difficult time deciding which pieces to feature. The Mountain Fern and Wildhorse Cuff Bracelet (left) is hand carved cowhide with soft deer leather lining. It features a stunning 17.5 ct Wildhorse Magnesite stone and sterling silver wire accents. The Leather Choker with Turquoise Pendant (center) is made of distressed cowhide with deer leather lining. It is decorated with hand sewn sterling silver beads and showcases a large 116 ct Fox Turquoise Stone with a decorative sterling silver wire wrap. I am in love with this necklace! The Mountain Fern and Fox Turquoise Cuff Bracelet (right) is also made of hand carved cowhide with soft deer leather lining, highlighted with a 67 ct Fox Turquoise stone and sterling silver wire accents. This cuff is on my wish list as well! It is gorgeous!
